A hot wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet that is connected to the internet, making it easy to send, receive, and access funds quickly. Examples include mobile wallets, web wallets, and desktop wallets. While hot wallets are convenient for frequent transactions, they are more vulnerable to hacks compared to cold wallets (offline wallets). Good security practices like two-factor authentication (2FA) and strong passwords are critical for protecting assets stored in hot wallets.
